We were so excited to be making soup after our ‘soup’ song and dance in the performance! The children had decided that the most popular soup in the class was tomato, so that’s what we decided to make.
We had great fun chopping onions (although they did make our eyes water!), and crushing cloves of garlic. What a good way of strengthening our finger, hand and arm muscles!
Later we tasted our soup and thought about words to describe it. The children used their phonics to spell the words.
Who would have thought soup could have given us such a lot of learning opportunities!
